How do I use the RGA Estimator?

Step 1: Draw

Draw your gutter map on the canvas, using the various gutter options, downspouts, miters, and text controls to complete the map. The system will prompt you to enter unit pricing as you draw.

Need to change pricing? Tap and hold any of the buttons in the sidebar to change unit pricing. If you just want to change unit pricing for a particular run or object, select the $ icon after selecting it.

Step 2: Enter Estimate Information

Select "Complete" from the upper right hand corner to navigate to the estimate preview. Select the edit symbol to open the info wizard and complete customer and company information.

Step 3: Tailor Your Estimate and Download

Modify descriptive text and enter various one off items and removal and disposal costs as required. Use the eye button on the line item report to hide quantities.

Select download, and submit your estimate!

V5 further enhances the UI and adds support for different gutter styles, installations, and protection.

We're getting more interest in a paid version of the estimator as well - let's call it RGA Teams for now.

Measurement Tails

Measurement tails are useful shorthand abbreviations by dimensions that indicate what style, installation method, and gutter protection are on any run of gutter.

Box, Fascia, Half-Round, Continuous, and K-Style Gutter

Selecting gutter now opens a sub-menu with different styles of gutter and their respective installations.

 Gutter protection can now also be quoted individually without having to remove gutter on a line.

Totals View

You now change the line item report to a totals view - hiding all line items from the estimate and just showing what the job will cost in total.

Keyboard shortcuts!

Desktop users can take advantage of keyboard shortcuts (visible on hover) to quickly knock out their drawing.

These should also work on tablets and phones if you've connected a keyboard., although the tooltip doesn't show the shortcut on hover.

"Spacetime" ripple.

The canvas now ripples when you open it - this visually establishes the RGA Estimator as the next generation of mobile takeoff for contractors.

Added signature options to the estimate preview

You can now add signatures (yours and the customer's) to the estimate. Tapping the boxes will bring up a space where you can sign in the app.

Pinch to zoom

While in select mode on mobile devices, you can now utilize pinch to zoom mechanics.

Deleted Save Map Function

This feature caused confusion in its current implementation. It may return in a different format.
